Hampers are strange things. Its even a strange word if you say it enough times. Im not quite sure what brings people to decide to buy a wicker basket full of spam and dates and pay way over the odds for the contents.
But people do but them, and people do pay good money, so jump on the bandwagon and make them from the comfort of your home and watch the money roll in. Buy some cheap baskets (charity shops and car boots are always good), buy some food/chocolates/wine in bulk, stuff them in the basket and sell them (for more than you paid for them naturally).
Christmas is the boom time, but naturally there is nothing to stop you setting up other themed hampers: birthday hampers, valentines, bar mitzvahs, divorce. Advertise locally and you could do very nicely.
