If you are a mother, you can be a part-time doula. This is someone who has had a baby and is then helps in the birth of a new baby and assists the mother through the first few weeks of motherhood.
Some single-mothers, mothers with little or no family, or mothers with fathers away on work do not have anyone to help them.
