Its obviously much easier donating as a man than as a woman, but the money is considerably lower. Around £280 is normal for one cycle from a woman, although it does involve an operation. There is also the possibility that either man or woman will be located as the donor by the child in the future under current legislation.
As payment is not high, it is more a case of earning money whilst benefitting others, or in the case of men, earning money for what you do everyday anyway :)
