There are certain provisos, i.e. has to be at least 6 inches long and have no chemical treatments on it. But as long as you meet these conditions they will consider it. For this you will receive around £3 per ounce. Now, I don't really know how much hair weighs, but I don't believe you can make a living doing this. But, if you were going to remove it anyway you might as well be paid.
Once they receive and pay for your lovely hair, they will then treat it, dye it and turn it into wigs for other people to put on their heads. Lovely.
Alternatively, just go to your local hairdressing college and let the students work on you for free, You save the price of a hair cut, which is probably more than you would receive for selling your hair. And you don't have to wonder everytime you see that dubious fella in Sainsburys wearing a syrup, whether thats part of you he's touching with his manky scalp.
