Do you ever wish you had time to sit back, think, reflect on life and still get paid for it? If you do then you're a prime candidate to become an exam invigilator. You remember from school, the bloke that wasn' t the teacher who would make sure you weren't cheating whilst doing your French exam? Well if you ever dreamt of growing up and being him, now is your chance.
Although we are now into exam season, some schools and colleges are still looking for invigilators. Some advertise in the local press, others in school newspapers, and some on local council websites. If all those fail just get directly in touch with the school themselves.
You need no qualifications; just some spare time, a capacity to remain awake for a few hours (reading or listening to your mp3 player is not allowed) and you will have to have a CRB check. But that's it. Pay varies from around £7.00 - £15.00 per hour depending on location, school and age group.
